Scrabulous

What did people do at work all day before the internet? How did they look busy while not really doing anything important? These days (and like the last four years for that matter) I am an internet fiend. I weaned myself off a few summers back when Sarah and I didn't want to pay for internet... but I fell of the wagon shortly thereafter- and I fell hard. Luckily, (or unfortunately- you decide) Regan is equally addicted. Add in my computer/pop culture savvy brother and you've got a recipe for disaster. Don't get me wrong, its not like we sit at home on Friday nights playing World of Warcraft or anything socially abnormal like that. No, we prefer an edgier, more intellectual type of pastime for our Friday nights.

Clayton introduced us to the best way to pass time at work, school, or while you are waiting for Christmas to come around:

You might notice that Regan won in this game- but I was a close second. I should have posted the game that I actually won but I think I must have deleted it.

Life Immitates Art

Although, our's was a better cause...not that we knocking rabies awareness or anything. Today we went to Tanglewood Park for the annual Buddy Walk to raise awareness for Down Syndrome. The special guest for the event was Chris Burk. You might remember him as Corky from "Life Goes On".

I'm pretty surprised that Regan actually wore his shirt. What a good sport.
All in all it was a good time. The walk was only about a mile so he "suggested"that we head over to Shaffner Park afterwards for a better workout. I think we went home and ate pizza afterwards. Makes sense right?

The Dash

Despite the fact that living in the Residence Inn was awesome, we decided that getting an apartment was probably a good idea. We were really lucky to find a great place only 2 minutes from Wake Forest campus. Our new friends and neighbors, Andrew and Tiffany helped us move in, which we decided was SO much better than moving out. Check out our new place!

Actually, due to the fact that posting pictures on blogger sucks, we're not going to do it. Maybe later. Sorry.

We Made It...

In more ways than one. Today was our one year anniversary and we got into Winston-Salem at 10 pm after driving for 34 hours. We found our hotel with out getting too lost and then ran across the street to Chili’s. Not our first choice for places to celebrate but you do what you can with what you have, right?
Shout outs to:

1. Ann and Ben for their HOURS of packing, steaming, and cleaning.
2. Jordan for being the master packer and getting our stuff down to five feet (that was the minimum we had to pay for), and for the “war chest” full of goodies for our trip.
3. Neal and Sarah for housing us for the night at their apartment in Nashville... and for taking us to lunch to celebrate our anniversary.
4. Our neighbors and friends who helped us pack and clean, including the people who were renting our apartment after us who showed up to load our truck.
5. Todd for fixing the breaks on Lindsay’s car.

And So Our Journey Begins... (a repost)

So... WE'RE MOVING. TO NORTH CAROLINA. Regan got into Wake Forest University and will be reading/writing legal jargon for the next three years starting on August 13th (his 26th birthday). We are really excited/scared/stressed/etc. We have been running nonstop trying to get everything done. AND WE LEAVE PROVO TOMORROW. The bad part is that we are both going to drive our cars out so that means we both have to drive the entire way. Luckily, we're planning on having some CB radios : )

I don't have job yet, we're not positive where we are going to live. Oh and we've never been to Winston-Salem. We're crazy, right? We plan to get to town on our one year anniversary. Yep, we are officially nuts. Haha, hope it all works out.

We are definitely sad to leave all of our family and friends in Provo, we have had a really fun first year of marriage with so many loved ones nearby. We hope that Winston-Salem (which Lindsay already lovingly refers to as "the dash") will be just as good to us. WISH US LUCK!!

Over and out.
So, I attempted to abandon this blog and start a new one for just Regan and I but I decided that perhaps I'll just wait until we have a baby or something to keep it up (Disclaimer: if I change my mind-as I am prone to do- it is not an indicator that we are at that point...) . I got about 6 or 7 posts in before I decided that it was too boring even for the world wide web. But a blog about yours truely? Now that's a way to stop traffic on the information super-highway. **No offense Regan... most of these posts will still include you as the main course... I just feel bad posting all my own thoughts and calling them "ours". Plus, if its all girly no one would beleive you were a contributor, anyway.** Luckily, no one actually saw the other blog. I never actually sent anyone the link. I was just waiting until I had either

a) written something brilliant
or b) was at least steadily writting semi-brilliant posts,

which (d. none of the above) never quite happend. So in a nut-shell, I'm back. Or at least I hope be start posting again.

First things first: and update on our lives to come.
